Profile

The University of the Peloponnese (UOP) was founded by the Presidential Decree 13/2000 and its operation was inaugurated in September 2002. The University consists of 22 Departments, which are organized under 9 Faculties (located in the five capitals of the Peloponnese region’s prefectures), and its headquarters are in Tripolis, Greece. UOP is a public legal entity with full administrative autonomy supervised by the Ministry of Education, which also provides part of its funding. 

Role in XTRUST-6G

UOP is the scientific coordinator of the project. UOP’s role includes leading Task 5.4 to deliver an intelligent intrusion response system for optimally mitigating 6G attacks; leading WP7 for cloud-native 6G application security and orchestration, and Task 7.2 where tools for open-source software vulnerability management, 6G software attack surface reduction, and minimization of associated risk are developed. UOP is also leading Task 7.4 aiming to develop digital forensics and attestation tools O-RAN. UOP is actively involved in all pilots, 6G attacks’ implementation, and other project tasks
