XTRUST-6G presented at BCSS Technology Day 2025 in Stockholm

On 26 November 2025, the XTRUST-6G project was showcased at BCSS Technology Day 2025, held in Kista, Stockholm (Sweden). The annual Ericsson Business Area Cloud Software & Services event brings together experts from across the company to highlight technological innovation, product development, and future network evolution.

This year’s edition reached record engagement, featuring more than 500 submissions, 18 seminars, 2 panel discussions, and over 30 live demonstrations. Topics spanned artificial intelligence and software technologies, autonomous networks, cloud-native transformation, cybersecurity, and 6G — reflecting the strategic direction of next-generation telecom infrastructures.

During the event, Pietro Picaro (Ericsson) delivered a dedicated seminar on the evolution of quantum-resistant programmable security in telecom networks. The presentation highlighted ongoing work within XTRUST-6G, demonstrating how the project contributes to strengthening the resilience of future communication infrastructures through zero-trust principles and quantum-safe approaches.

Although the event primarily targeted Ericsson personnel, its impact extended far beyond the physical venue. Sessions were recorded and made available through the Ericsson intranet, enabling thousands of additional viewers to access the material and learn about XTRUST-6G technologies and objectives.

The participation in BCSS Technology Day 2025 further strengthened the project’s visibility within industrial ecosystems and confirmed the strong relevance of XTRUST-6G research for real-world telecom deployment and future 6G security architectures.
