XTRUST-6G Showcased at Solent FutureScape 2026

The XTRUST-6G project was showcased at Solent FutureScape 2026, held in Portsmouth, UK, on 24 March 2026, through the participation of the Portsmouth AI and Data Science Centre (PAIDS).

The exhibition brought together businesses, educators, students, researchers, and technology innovators to explore emerging trends and practical applications of artificial intelligence and digital technologies across different sectors. With more than 200 attendees, the event provided an important platform for collaboration, networking, and knowledge exchange between academia and industry.

During the exhibition, PAIDS presented a diverse portfolio of AI-driven projects and solutions demonstrating the practical impact of artificial intelligence in addressing real-world challenges. Among the showcased initiatives was the XTRUST-6G project, alongside VoxLith products, CyberRange AI solutions, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), and additional technologies focused on cybersecurity, intelligent digital systems, and industry innovation.

As part of the event, Prof. Stavros Shiaeles presented the XTRUST-6G project and highlighted its contribution to advanced AI-driven zero-trust security mechanisms for future 5G and 6G communication systems. The presentation focused on how the project supports stronger cybersecurity, more resilient digital infrastructures, and intelligent network environments capable of addressing evolving industry and societal needs.

Solent FutureScape 2026 also provided valuable opportunities to engage with stakeholders, exchange ideas on future research and innovation directions, and discuss the growing importance of trustworthy AI solutions in next-generation communication networks.

The strong interest and positive feedback received during the event reflected the increasing relevance of secure, AI-enabled technologies for the future of digital infrastructures and connected systems.
