XTRUST-6G Presented at the Final ERATOSTHENES PROJECT Workshop
On March 21, 2025, the XTRUST-6G project was presented at the Final ERATOSTHENES PROJECT Workshop, held at the University of Piraeus (Athens) and streamed online. The event focused on the theme: “Shaping the Future of Secure IoT – Innovations in Security, Trust, Identity, and Privacy.”
Mr. Dimitris Kavallieros, representing the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), delivered a presentation titled: “XTRUST-6G: Extended Zero-Trust and Intelligent Security for Resilient and Quantum-Safe 6G Networks and Services”
The workshop brought together approximately 60 participants from academia, research institutions, industry/SMEs, and the general public, including university students. It provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas on current challenges and solutions in cybersecurity, particularly in the context of IoT, 6G networks, and quantum-safe communication.
Key Takeaways:
The session highlighted XTRUST-6G’s innovative security approaches, including zero-trust architectures, O-RAN protection, and physical layer security.
Participants engaged in discussions on overlapping challenges and domain-specific strategies across several EU-funded cybersecurity projects.
The event featured contributions from leading entities such as ENISA and the European Commission, alongside hands-on training sessions.
Participation in this workshop contributed to broader awareness and dialogue around resilient and trustworthy 6G infrastructures, aligning with XTRUST-6G’s core objectives.
